M.2 PCIe gen 4 x4 only give you double the sequential writes, and reads, but that’s it. Hardly any casula user normal use case can the advantage of it.
It doesn't do anything for random R/W or latency, and the cheap 1TB gen 4 ssd hardly even go that much faster then PCIe 3.0.
like that NV2 that you are asking, it’s speeds don't exceed even the PCIe 3.0 speeds.
So I'm asking if there's something I don't know, that forces you to buy PCIe 4.0 if your budget is tight ( like the PS5 or something ).
