Best CPU For Overclocking?

So I know those professional overclockers (I'm still surprised that's a thing) overclocked a AMD FX-8150 to 8.429 GHz and I was wondering why the 8150 and is there another CPU that can beat that?

8150 because all the 8xxx are the same, but with different clocks and that chip happened to be lucky.

I don't know, I got my Sempron past 4.5GHz once on the stock cooler... At 1.4-ish volts.

2.8GHz. Windows got screwed up, and I wasn't able to get a validation of it. :(

I've been pushing my athlon for a while and it's fantastic.  Went from 3.4 to 4.4GHz on stock voltage without issues and pretty decent temperatures on a CM hyper 212 evo.  I've got it at 4 right now just because it runs cooler and I haven't noticed any performance difference.

How's the 9800GT holding up? OC'ED it yet?

Haven't gotten it yet. Waiting for my mom and stepdad to get their butts in gear and get it. :( Hopefully they'll order it this week so I can put it in on the weekends when I go to granny's (and their hose, since they live with granny).
