Reddit post embeds play automatically?

Browser, version and OS:  Firefox ARM64 113.0.2 MacOS 16.4

 

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Post any reddit link that is a video (not sure what the correct term is)

 

What happened?

Video plays automatically once it is shown on screen.

 

What did you expect to happen?

Video shouldnt play automatically?

I have also tested this in my topic in Test Posts here, as soon as embed is displayed on screen video starts playing automatically. It is kind of annoying, and probably better off not autoplaying. I dont want to get rick rolled like this lol.

I wonder if it is possible to disable reddit embeds if that is the case. I am currently testing some weird cases, for example this one in particular would be extremely hard to spot.
