Any recommendation for (free/paid) sites to upload files onto?

If it's just for archived storage, look at AWS's S3 tiers.   Check some reviews and pricing calculators, as depending on your specific use case, choosing the wrong tier can get expensive, but as long as you do your homework, it's pretty reasonable.

You may want to compare these to Azure or Google data storage options as well, I haven't had to crunch these numbers in a long time.   The nice thing about AWS when I was using it is that most of the standard NAS devices actually had a tool built in to do automatic archiving to it.
