Please help me out selecting a GPU

Go to solution Solved by adm0n,

I'd say the most bang for the buck, you'll get with the 5600XT. And the price is quite fair for that in my opinion. The other cards are not totally in a different class, so you won't really be getting a significant upgrade to warrant the extra cost. And this way, you'll feel less friction to upgrade again, when you have saved up a bit more in a few years.

If you want something better, I'd check out something like the 6600XT new or the newly launched 7600 from AMD.

But it would also help, if you'd tell us what kind of games you want to play and at which resolution.

Among these, which second-hand graphics card would be the better option??
Note: The PC is configured with i3 7100 on an ASUS H110 motherboard!

RX 5600 XT ----------$125
GTX 1660 SUPER-----$130
RX 5700--------------$156
RTX 2060------------ $178
RX 5700 XT ----------$197

in truth none of the above due to the very low level of vram.

If you really have no other options but one of those GPUs I like the TUF RX 5700 XT ----------$197

I still think that the price is quite high though.

Especially as the latest GPU from AMD is 270USD brand new with a full warranty.

One question before I solve yours.

Are new components expensive in your region?

Yes. Also, my budget is limited.

I'll mostly play Valorant and use Photoshop and Illustrator on it.

Also, one question does the software features of the RTX 2060 justify the price increase?

Unless you need CUDA or use blender, I don't think so. The only feature you realistically get is DLSS. And while AMDs FSR isn't as good, it is certainly serviceable.

RTX is not really worth it on a 2060 in my opinion. There are some other Nvidia features like ANSEL and Shadowplay, that I've never used, so I can't comment on those. If you really want them, you would no, I suppose.

I'm also not sure about illustrator, but I saw something about Nvidia exclusive features, that aren't mission critical. But they did mention the need for more Vram. So if big projects in illustrator is something you do, I'd upsell you to an 8GB VRAM card at least.

Hope that helps 🙂
