Hi everyone,

I made the pre-order about two weeks ago. Since i live in Cyprus which is not one of the framework supported EU countries, i used a forward shipping company to put my order in.

Today I got this email from them(attached screenshot).

Is there any legitimate reason (legal or otherwise) for not letting the order go through? After all it is my responsibility where the item ends up since I selected the address.

I am very bumped about this and worried that my small country will not be supported for a long time...

I'd say your country have better chance to be in the list than mine.
I very highly doubt mine will ever be in the list. 😂

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post

There can be a whole lot of reasons a company can’t or won’t do business in a country (or in my country, even province). My partner consults with businesses in a lot of fields and you’d be amazed how hard and expensive it is for a small/medium sized business to do business in multiple countries, how many regulatory hurdles, how much legal work needing to be done, how to deal with currency/warranty/consumer protection. I get why people want to support framework and what they’re doing but you can’t compare them to any other laptop manufacturer that you’ve ever heard of - they’re small

TLDR: Sounds like you’re s*** outta luck because international business is hard

I understand why they would slowly rollout their supported country list. But they don't have anything to do with my country. They only need to deal with the address I used which is in a supported country. I still don't understand why they would go out of their way to filter forwarding shipping addresses...
