Confusing PSU.

I've recently decided to finally get an upgrade and got almost all the parts for my build except the GPU. My question is, should I connect my CPU power cable to the connector on PSU which is marked red or should I connect it to one of the CPU/PCIe connectors. I'm also pretty lost on how much power the PCIe cables that I have can pump out. The cables go from single connector that connects to the PSU to two 2+6 PCIe connectors. My PSU is Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 ARGB 750w and my gpu will be XFX RX 6800 XT SPEEDSTER MERC 319.

The 8pin CPU power cable goes into the port labeled CPU/PCI-E

nah your cpu 8pin goes in the one in red yeah
its so they all neatly come out i guess. 

you should take every suggestion here with salt and actually check your psu instruction manual.

The sockets and connectors are keyed. It should not be possible to incorrectly cable power connections without extreme force.
