So I do not know where I was supposed to post this if not here. But the problem I'm having is with last of us PC port. But it's not a noted problem I've ever heard of from the community. So I've seen people using my exact specs to run the game with way better fps than me (1650 mobile i5 11400h 24gbs ram) the main problem is if I want anything above 30 fps I got to run it at 800x500 resolution which is just absurd. And while my fps performance counter build into the game is on my fps is 90 on the lowest res and graphics settings and my CPU fps matches it at 90 but my GPU fps is well...   Over 5000. What is happening here and how can I make this game run better. Ik I might have a bottleneck but this is way worse than any type of bottleneck I've ever seen in person or documented anywhere online

Start by going into your startup folder. there you can disable everything except microsoft defender.

then in windows settings apply game mode as on. it will shut down all background tasks that might be using system resources that are not required.

I would also make sure to close all programs before launching the game and finally double check that any and all auto update features for windows and all applications you have are set to disabled. manually update when you do a basic system check every other week or so.

Also you did not mention what you are using and if it came with any bloatware ????

if your system came with a free antivirus or something just get rid of it. Windows defender is faster better 99% of the time and uses very few resources. Any of those freebies just suck the system dry as they constantly monitor every thing you do.
