I was searching for some guides on google, but I could'nt find anything, so I thought of LinusTechTips.

My question is, what settings are the best for 4Ghz, I'm pretty new to OC'ing.

Specs:

i5-4670K

(No GPU at the moment, going to buy GTX 770)

8Gb 1600mhz RAM

CM Hyper 212 EVO

Here is a guide

I can't remember the whole video, but I recommend using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility as your stability test.

If you have any further questions, just ask.

Thank you for the guide, but I was also looking for like, what voltage to use.

I will look into the video and the Intel tool.

I can't really tell you what voltages to use. The silicone lottery determins that. Just raise the voltage and clock speed a bit, and check if it's stable. If it's unstable, you add more voltage.

This is also why the video is only a guide and not a template.

Diffrent chips need diffrent voltages for diffrent speeds. I have seen 4770k's doing 4.5 ghz at  stock voltages.

Here is an excellent Haswell Overclocking Guide done by our own @ProKoN.

Everyone chip is different, your results are going to be unique to your chip and configuration, you have to go into this with an open mind-don't have a preconceived idea of what kind of results you will be getting.  I also urge you to be patient and thoroughly test your overclocks to find balance and stability.

For starters, I wouldn't go over 1.3v  Also, I have heard bad things about the Gigabyte overclocking software, others might know more than me, but I think using IETU will be better.

Go on manual, put 1.2V and 4 GHz, if you don't blue screen you can turn it down to 1.175 and if you don't blue screen then put it to 1.150 and further etc, my friend got his 4670k on 4 Ghz on 1.175V stable, I run my 4770k on 4.4 Ghz @ 1.28V but that's not recommended with 212 evo. :)

Emmh... Maybe consider killing yourself before you talk to me?

Pople on this forum though some of them had a brain, turns out, no.
