CPU temps while gaming

Yeah, that's about where I'd expect it to be within about 5C.

Not without some rather extreme measures, like chilled water. On just air cooling you can't really get gaming temps below that. 

Hello. I just finished my first build. Long story short, I'm not completely certain that my NH-D15 is seated properly on my AMD 5900X. I'm using MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner to watch my CPU temps while gaming. I have been playing GTA-V and Dying Light: Enhanced Edition at 1080P on higher settings, and my temps are between 50-62 degrees Celsius. Is that okay? Could they be significantly better? If they're okay I'm not going to fool with repasting and reseating my cooler any time soon.

Perfectly normal temps. The NH-D15 after all is quite an old cooler and it's not the best air cooler anymore, despite its price suggesting it. You can drop probably 3-4-5 degrees with the Peerless Assasin, but that thing is in such a high damand, that i think everyone who saw GN's video and was on air  cooling on small 120/240mm AIOs went out and bought one of those.
