Cannot undervolt my CPU
Go to solution
Solved by RONOTHAN##,
So a couple things I can think of that might be going on:
- You're reading the wrong sensor for voltage. There is a VID sensor that will always read the stock voltage, while the actual voltage will change.
- The BIOS has that setting broken and you need to use XTU instead. Trying a different BIOS revision could help as well.
- Assuming you're on one of the latest BIOS revisions, It might be using a microcode version with undervolt protection (UVP). If it is, there should be a toggle in MSI's BIOS to change the microcode revision to something else, preferably without UVP.
