Strange Creaking/Crackling Noises from WH-1000XM4

I'm getting strange Creaking/Crackling Noises from my Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless, Noise Cancelling Headphones. 

 

The issue happens intermittently, especially when moving my head but not always. I have tried resetting and updating the firmware and the issue seems to occur both when the ANC is on and off. 

 

I bought them in January so could probably send them back to repair, but is there anything else I should try beforehand?

Its probably just bad wiring. Manufacturing defect.
