Budget (around 1600 USD, max 1700 USD (OS not included))

Country: Denmark (Above Germany, below Sweden and Norway)

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1440p, high refresh rate gaming, YouTube watching/web browsing, some video recording/editing and emulation. (basically, any and everything (mostly gaming))

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I have tried making a list by looking at reviews, but I am not sure if I have chosen good components. (I know there is no case, I was not sure what kind of airflow the things would need)
I Know it may seem weird to buy the 128 GB M.2, but I would like to have my OS (windows) on a different drive so I don't have to look though all the windows files to find something

Is there a better way to spent my money?

If I have done something wrong please tell me.

If your energy prices aren’t high then go with @Tomberry’s recommendation of gpu

I would swap out that cpu cooler for an ak620 tho and don’t get an s series x570 board since the little fan is whiny. Instead get one without a fan and only a heatsink.

finally, get the 5700x instead of the 5800x since it’s basically the same chip but cheaper and easier to cool

200 Krona over but you can downgrade to 12600KF (not the 13500, both performed basically the same as 13500 is basically locked 12600K) to compress it back down.

@SorryClaire

Could I ask you why you chose the i5-13600KF over the Ryzen 7 5700X?

(as in: is it faster, dose it have better motherboards, is it more stable or for any other reason)

A generation newer and overall faster in games. While you could go for 7600 non X with Precision Boost Overdrive on to emulate 7600X base boost behavior and gain more, DDR5 and B650 board costs are currently still pretty high, so id abuse the fact that DDR5 is still not fully taken advantage of by games just like the transition times between DDR3 and DDR4 and just get a DDR4 compatible platform.

1080pr-p.thumb.webp.c0d7ece8cae04411ddafddfc4fa6c284.webp

5800X is basically 5700X but with a higher power budget so you can use that as a proxy here as a so called best case scenario for 5700X.

Idk why you can't go for current gen hardware. There's plenty of funds to do so. If you need to, just bring down the cpu to a 7700X, but this build should suit you just fine. 🙂

OK so to be clear, i5 over r7 because the motherboard are cheaper and because it runs games faster performance

won't Smart access memory make a AMD CPU and GPU faster if paired? (RX 6950 XT)

Resizable BAR isnt Panacea especially if youre not building your architecture specifically around it. And besides, both Zen 4 and Raptor Lake can have it.

Google is very much lying to me then, because I put in 1700USD to kr and it says it's 17632.13 Swedish Krona.😕

OP's Danish. Krona can refer to Swedish, Denmark, Norwegia, and Iceland, and all of those have differing values due to their economic outputs and other things that affects conversion.

@SorryClaire

what are your thoughts on the Ryzen 7700(non-x) (vs i5-13600K) is it worth the extra ~20 USD?

Remember that when you dont have anything you cant compare between 2 CPU prices alone. You have to consider the cost of the motherboard, the RAM, and also possibly the cooling. This is what the industry calls "Platform Price".
