Third Party USB C charger works with switch, but official Nintendo charger doesn't

Basically the title. The console turns on and yes I am using it on a wall outlet with a freshly bought charger. The nintendo charger charges my phone aswell so it definitely works. Any tips to try fix this weird ass issue? For context I just replaced the battery myself but I took all the necessary steps to make sure it was properly reassembled.

I would start from checking if contacts in charger & console are clean. And even if they are... I would clean them with isopropyl alcohol. Just in case.

probably the official charger requires some communication before providing charge voltage, and the aftermarket one doesnt... and the required data pins might be damaged.

 

if anyone can chime in on if that port on the switch can be used for anything else (usb storage, etc.) those are probably good things to test this theory.
