Hey guys, I don't know if there are any threads here about the Logitech g710+, and was wondering what the lot of you guys and gals thought about it. I've currently got one coming in the mail and am wanting some input on how to set it up when I receive it. By set up I'm going along the lines as to is there anything to do before using it, or is it plug and go.

Thanks,

Swindless

I love mine. The keys have rubber "o" rings under them to reduce the noise of the switches, even though they're brown.

Ive had one since september, its plug and go for the most part. media keys and gkeys dont usually work without downloading the drivers but that should be obvious these days :P other then that its easy. Only thing is setting up macro's on the g keys if thats something you would want which is also relatively straight forward

I'm not much into macro's, but I might make something for a couple of the games I play. Also would you think the G600 mouse be a good addition to the keyboard for games like diablo 3 BF4 and maybe DayZ Standalone?

How do the keys feel? Do they feel cheap or are they solid?

I don't have the specific one but know it's got great reviews and I have tried brown switches with O-rings and feel they're the best overall switch, specially for someone who's just getting into mechanical keyboards. It's not heavy or loud, and still provides some feedback to know how much to press. I'd recommend the keyboard and maybe remove the O-rings if you feel it's too soft :)

It's plug and play unless you want to spend some time programming macros.

I have one and it feels great. The O-ring really works for dampening the sound. I've compared it to my Ducky Shine 3 (also with brown switches) and the Shine 3 sounds definitely louder because I still tend to bottom out the keys when I type. About the keycaps, I gotta admit that the Shine 3 feels more premium, however the ones on my G710+ are far from bad. They also feel good, but not quite as good as the keycaps on Shine 3. For typing I actually prefer the G710+ maybe because of the included wrist rest. Although initially you might wanna adjust your fingers positioning because of the macro keys. I have never had any keyboard with side macro keys, so sometimes I typed "QAS" instead of "WSD". But after a few days I got used to it and I find no problem at all now. The dedicated media keys are definitely a plus, especially the volume scroll wheel.
