Planning an CPU upgrade

Hi, I'm planning on upgrading my CPU since it feels like a bottleneck. (specs below)
I'm just not completely sure what might be the best upgrade, I'm not really planning on upgrading anything else besides the CPU.

I was thinking about either the AMD Ryzen 7 5800(X3D) or the Ryzen 5 5600X
For my budget I was thinking max 300€ but if it can be cheaper I wouldn't mind it.

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 
- Esports titles

- Triple A games
- games like Wartales
- REVIT (school related)
- Lumion (school related)
- Google Sketch-Up (school related)

GPU: RTX 3070

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
MOBO: MSI MPG X570 Gaming WiFi
RAM: 32 GB DDR4 3200 Fury Black's
Cooler: CoolerMaster MasterAir MA612 Stealth
PSU: Corsair RM750 750W ATX24
Case: Fractal Meshify 2
Fans: 6x LianLi fans
Storage: 2x 970 EVOs 1T + 2TB HDD

go for it, thats a good cpu upgrade. Just remember to update your bios beforehand or use bios flashback. Only thing is it might need a better cooler like the ak620 or thermalright PA120

Which one of the 2 would u advise?
I'm not that worried about cooling, the house I live in luckily doesn't get too hot.

I would go with the AMD Ryzen 7 if you don't mind two things really.

1. temps

2. power draw

the thermalright if its in stock but both perform about the same (just the ak620 is about 20 euros more but is normally in stock more)

The temps should be fine.
And I think the power draw should be fine with the 750W PSU

oh the 5800X3D since the 5600x is good but not as good as an upgrade as the 3600 to 5800X3D

I don't get the 5800X as a cpu as the 5700x has the same 8 cores but with a lower tdp (so lower heat output). if you have the money I would get the 5800X3D. If you only have up to about 230 or 200 euros then get the 5700x since the 5800x doesn't really make sense

Don't get the Ryzen 5 5600 since you already have the 3600, to small of an upgrade keeping the same number of cores.

A Ryzen 7 5700X would be a better choice.

 

If you're gaming on 1080p, you need the 5800X3D not to bottleneck the 3070. If it's 1440p, the 5700X would be fine. Unless you aim for a stronger GPU, then also the 5800X3D.

Forgot to mention; if you're on 1080p consider upgrading the monitor.
