Laptop display upgrade

So my MSI Raider GE76 10UG's screen decided to just give up and fall off, breaking the 40 pin connector off the screen. Instead of simply putting back the same LQ173M1JW05 screen from Sharp (1080p @ 240hz) I thought I could take the opportunity to upgrade to the NE173QHM-NY1 from what seems to be BOE (1440p @ 165hz). Both seem to use a 40 pin connector and have same dimensions. Now I would like to know if this would be possible and what I would have to do in order to be succesful (plug and play or more steps?).
