M.2 SSD shows in bios but when I try to install Windows on it, windows doesn't recognize it

make sure raid isn't enabled in BIOS or you may need to manually download some drivers and put it on your install media as the others have mentioned.
I actually ran into this on one of my machines at home recently, not even sure why raid was enabled since it only had 1 drive in it. came that way when purchased.
