Computer randomly shuts down

My PC:

Ryzen 7 3700x

D60G 2x8gb 3600mhz

RTX 3060 TI

Aorus B550 elite

aorus P850w PSU

I was hoping to upgrade my Ram from 16 GB to 32 GB though I want to know if it would be better to buy 3200mhz ram since I'd save a few bucks.

When I enable XMP1 at 3600mhz speed, the computer would normally shuts down when I open any intensive game, though I have turned it off for over a year now. When I turned it back on, I tried several ways to make it shut down to ensure that it was the ram that was causing the problem. I've ran several programs including AIDA64, I've also ran Cities: skylines with lots of mods to stress the ram and they all did well with no problems, but when it came to Minecraft (with shaders), the computer crashed after just a minute of gameplay.

The only thing that comes to mind in regard to RAM speeds causing problems is the whole Infinity fabric deal with Ryzen CPU's.

Check the FCLK, UCLK and MEMCLK are set to half the the indicated speed of the RAM (due to double data rate)

For 3600mhz RAM you should see them all set to 1800.

If they are then you could try lower you RAM speed and thus the settings above. Ryzen 3000 'should' be stable at 3600 RAM speeds, however there is the remote possibility that you got a poor sample and may have to drop the speed down.

If its an option you could try 3400mhz on the RAM with the FCLK UCLK and MEMCLK set to 1700.

if that works, and ur up for some memory tweaking, u can claw back some performance by tightening the timings since ur RAM kit will be running below its rated speed so should have room to tighten up timings.
