Airflow Problem

Go to solution Solved by johnno23,

Remove the front panel. Measure exactly where the center of the front fans are.

Now using a marker pen place a dot on the front panel that corresponds to the fans center.

measure you fans are they 120mm or 140mm.

Once done simply take your panel to any shop where they make advertising signs etc.

Most have a CNC machine for cutting durable plastics ABS plexiglass thin aluminum etc.

Ask them if they have time to use the machine to cut holes at the needed size.

once done go home place front panel done and dusted for about 10 Bucks.

If you are good at tinkering you can DIY the holes. Done it myself in the past on cases where the front panel was closed and had only side vents for air intake which was next to useless.

Hello,

i5 12400f

16GB 3200 Mhz DDR4

RTX 2060 6GB

My pc will run hotter +5C to 8C if i close the side panel (a tempered glass), just because my pc is a low-end,

so i don't want to spend much money on pc case(it costs if i converted to usd, it was $20),

but the front panel looks so bad, it looks doesn't have air circulation to intake.

I have 3 fans at the moment, i can add more or change to an open air pc case.

I need some suggestion, thank you.

yes you have a terrible front panel, looks like the only air will be being pulled in from the bottom of that panel, i think it will be difficult finding a mesh front case for $20 unless you can find a used one being sold, but really you need to add 2 extra fans at the fron so 3 pulling air in, then just have 1 at the rear (not top) pushing air out

maybe spend the 20 on extra fans, and do a DIY project by drilling lots of air holes in the front panel of that case, being careful to avoid hitting any wires etc

2 top intakes, 1 rear for exhaust should suffice. Adding fans to the front won't really do anything as it has no fresh air available to it.

Is it perfect, no. Is it better? most likely.

Check your local secondhand market for a better case, often secondhand cases are dirt cheap.

Also, what are the current teps? they might not be that bad.

i was planning to add 2 fans at the front, but there are some people offer their DIY projects but for one panel it costs about the same an open air pc case 😞

you don't even have  a rear exhaust.  So put one in there.

yikes......... I never got that far I looked  at one photo only but it was so bad I did not look further,

rear fan missing is a major airflow issue.

and if the op wants to be really cost conscious then just remove the front panel

Thats better, I would still move one of the top fans to the front so you have 2 fans pulling air in lower the fan already at the front so the both fans are pretty much hitting the bottom and the top of the graphics card... and the other top fan to the rear pushing air out...
