Hey guys, got a small problem with my system that happens occaisionally.

Sometimes, the system basically becomes unresponsive...not completely unresponsive, but to the point where the only way to fix it is to do a force restart.

So for example, one program may freeze completely, while other sort of "half stop working", for example, being able to move windows but unable to type or unable to save work etc etc. Basically the computer becomes unusable until I do the force restart. (Can´t even sign out/ choose the restart option from the menu).

I have done a RAM health check on the system and everything came back as fine, so I´m not sure what the issue is here. At first I thought it could be an issue with a bluetooth driver as the majority of the times it happens are when I'm using my bluetooth headphones, but today it's happened without that variable, so I'm seeking help.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Do you have 3 DIMMs installed? What makes and models are they and have you tried taking the odd one out to make it 16GB?

I have 4 installed. I don't know if this is relevant, but after I recently installed a new cooler, it does push slightly against one of the RAM sticks. It doesn't sleep like it's pushing against it a huge amount, but it is pushing against it, nevertheless.

Hi there,

Have you tried as said above? try just two RAM sticks, the RAM stick what has the cooler push on is not good, contact being made can make it unstable. I'd try two just to test.

Bit of a tech guy, converted to PC's when consoles did not entertain me enough, the last console being an Xbox, was fun with Halo multi-play though. But  the want to discover, to test, to learn more about computers drove me to levels I had never known...

Some GPU's I have had, 8800GTS 384MB, 7800GT, GEFORCE 4 MX440, 250GTS,  770 GTX, 1650 GTX, RTX 3050 Plus many other GPU's over the years...

The respect I have for LMG is massive like a black hole, sucking in all the knowledge, I watch their awesome video's, their knowledge is like that of a God. Seriously some say they are number 1 in the whole wide world. LMG is like the INTEL fabrication plant. Beaming with technology goodness...

I would try running the system without the smaller kit installed. That shouldn't affect the system that much as I've had that before and never experienced a system stability issue.

Just before I go ahead and do that, what would you say is the best configuration as I've heard some people say running 3 sticks is not ideal.

I have two 4gb 3200Mhz and two 8gb 3000 Mhz.

What would be the best configuration assuming I have to take out one?

Best configuration would be to keep the two 8GB 3000MHz modules installed. If you know how to do it and depending on what dies are used, you might be able to overclock them to match the two 4GB modules.

Hey guys, so I've just had the same thing happen to me again. I was watching a Youtube video and suddenly the "buffer" icon appeared, my audio stopped, and things slowly began to freeze up.

This time I was using my bluetooth headphones again...not sure what the issue is...

Is it possible that a bluetooth driver would cause such a series of events?
