I have a gigabyte 3060ti OC Pro gpu, there are two power ports on the card, a single 8 pin and a single 6pin. Currently I’m running a 6+2 cable with a pigtailed extension to the 6 pin port. I have more cables and I’m planning on running dedicated cables for each port, but I want to repin the cables for each port for only the because ones. This would end up with a dedicated 6pin with no extra cables and a 6+2 with no extra pig tail. I’m familiar with these types of connectors being I’m a mechanic I just figured I would ask if its a bad idea before I did it. The psu is a superflower 850 leadex III and oem cables.

Thanks in advance

I went ahead and did re-pinned the connectors. It looks much cleaner now as a result. For anyone wondering how to do it there are 1. dedicated tools to depress the clips or you can use flattened out staples to insert on the sides of the pins to release the clips. Took me roughly an hour to get everything done. The deleted +2 was capped with 12v heat shrink connectors for automotive use.
