Am I doing Folding@home right?

So this is my setup https://pcpartpicker.com/list/j8pQrD

I just started Folding@home this morning and want to know if I am doing it right. I downloaded the .exe file from the post from the MOD in this community. Then it shows me a webpage that shows the percentage done ETC. Is this it? I already have a passkey. Also is there a way that I can increase the speed? I am open to buying more hardware.

I hit 700W on an i5 with a NHD15

Also I'm 14 so please just confirm anything I say with someone more experienced

Also you are better off asking in our community thread.

A GPU is going to be faster than a CPU for folding. There are a few rare projects that require a CPU specifically, but almost all of them these days are designed to be run on GPUs instead.

I generally wouldn't recommend getting a GPU for a system solely based on the folding performance. If for a rig designed only for folding, of course, but this looks to be the OP's daily driver PC.

Why? What specifically helps team green here?

A lot of projects are coded based around Nvidia's CUDA cores, and so are optimized for Team Green hardware.

Hence why I said "If you care more about folding"

No. GPUs are capable of way more processing than any CPU. Only things like the 64 core Threadripper 5995WX or the 96-core EPYC server CPUs are anywhere close to the processing power of a GPU.

If I were only a gamer I'd seriously consider going red, but I tinker with a lot of stuff and green always comes out on top or is the only choice so it's only red CPU for me.
