I would say go with the rog strix, it looks better and the passive cooling seems bigger. Also there is a vrm tier list somewhere on the internet.

im planing a build and narowdi it down to motherbords

the strix is good price to performance. Honestly, imo the rog looks better. Go with the rog

Huh???

You mean 5800x3d or you mean the am5 7800x3d?

 

Its stupid to waste that much on a b550, when it starts costing the same as a b650m aorus elite ax you may aswell swap to the newer am5, or if you got no money for ddr5 there is also just buying a 12600k/13500 + z690 or b660/760 which will destroy the 5800x3d in everything other than gaming and if were talking the regular 5800x then yea theres not even a comparison just gets wiped

 

As for mobos focus on ones that have the i/o that you want alongside features that you want (wifi, external clockgen, postcode, etc.), vrms should also be payed attention to just incase theres the occasional runt with garbage vrms but on am5 that shouldnt be a worry

7800X CPU don't exist, only 7800X3D (which is an unicorn when it comes to finding one to buy)
