I am thinking of upgrading my gpu. Since I am on a budget I though I would get RX 6600M from aliexpress. I have 2 question is it safe and will it work with B365M DS3H motherboard.

there's no such thing as an rx 6600m desktop card. Get this instead RX580 8G 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 DirectX 12 Gaming Video Card Gaming GPU - Newegg.com

hi welcome to the forum. it should work. however it is a bit sketchy and i would recomend getting a used standered rx 6600 instead

isn't there no such thing as an rx 6600m in the desktop world? I've only saw it in laptops and if thats a laptop 6600 chip is gonna perform much worse than a desktop. As i said before, i would get an rx 580

there is. you can put the moblile chip onto the desktop board and the results are not bad as you get great power effiecency. i would not get one tho cus no warrenty and there is no guarentyys compared with getting somthing of ebay

These are legit, they work fine minus the weird driver situation to get them working, and they’re compatible with anything that has a pcie slot.

The problem with these mobile gpus on pcie cards (besides the driver thing) is that they’re fairly poor value.

That’s $180 USD, which is only $10 cheaper than a new regular RX6600, and a desktop RX6600 will trounce the RX6600M.

Or that kind of money can also buy some really high end used gpus. You can get used RTX 2070’s for around $220, or an RX Vega 64 for even cheaper around $150. This of course depends on where you are in the world but honestly even on aliexpress you can get GTX 1080’s for a similar price and a 1080 is also a better choice.

in my area the rx 6600 is much more expensive

Isn't the issue here too that it's a pcie 4.0 x4 link card? Which wouldn't be good for op as the bandwith difference will be a big hit.

This hackjob of a gpu is otherwise a surprisingly good deal

yh i dont know much about the card.
