Budget : 1200 USD

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Primarily used for gaming (Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy), I also do 3D CAD design on the side, and some simple video editing.

Other details I plan on altering and old case I found at a thrift store (I like the sleeper PC idea) I have a decent mouse and keyboard, would like some monitor suggestions. This is my first build and really don't know how compatible/best bang for my buck the parts I picked are.

Thank you! I appreciate your help! I suppose it would make sense to have a gen 4 if I have a gen 4 storage device

that wasn't the only reason since there isn't too much difference between the two in terms of real world experience but ofc np

I can make a difference, depending on the models you work with, and if direct storage ever becomes a thing.

Why not go with a Deepcool Assassin instead, if you can find one? They are supposed to be around 45USD and really good.
And I will not stop recommending the Arctic F12s, especially in the five-pack. Great fans, great value, Arctic.

I will find your Laptop thread and I will recommend an ITX build instead
