does any one know what power connector the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 VENTUS 2X 12G OC uses

Take this with a grain of salt, but I'd personally avoid any of the 8pin 4070s... It was leaked that AIB made a TONNNNNN of quality shortcuts to get their MSRP 4070s to that 599 price point. Either get a 4070ti or wait for the founders edition with the 16 pin power that boosts higher to come back in stock at bestbuy.

The rated TDP of the 4070 is 200W, so a single 8 pin is sufficient for that. Why does it need more than a single 8 pin? From what I've been told Nvidia locked down OC headroom on the card - the best OC results I can find online are only about 6% - so it's not like it is going to benefit from more power headroom. If anything, you'd probably be able to squeeze more performance out by undervolting to keep it within its power limit than by pushing up the power limit.

It doesn't need it, but it likes the extra headroom.

And the single 8 pin not being recommended has less to do with the 8 pin power itself and more to due with the lower quality of all the other components in the gpu

Great, so now we are getting $600 "midrange" GPU's that are taking "quality shortcuts". FFS
