Doorbell Camera with Intercom that doesn't require internet?

Aside from the creepiness of an internet connected camera, potentially sending off footage to who knows where. I have Satellite Internet and data caps. So I can't have it doing updates once a week anyway. 

 

Does this exist, or has Amazon truly cornered the market?

Without knowing your budget, I’ll mention Ubiquiti, I have their UniFi Dream Machine Pro along with a few access points - the UDM Pro doubles as a UniFi Protect console and will take any 3.5in HDD and hook up to any of their POE or wifi cameras (I have a few and the G3 Doorbell) and records entirely locally. And you can still use their app to check out the footage and stream, and get notifications outside of your wifi.  I would look into Protect, their wifi cameras are shockingly cheap and if you want good wifi anyway it might make sense for you.
