So, I currently use a Massdrop x Input Club K-Type keyboard that I purchased back in 2017, and I absolutely love it. The issue is, I'm getting tired of these clicky Kaihua blue switches I originally ordered it with. I've been considering replacing them with something else for a while, but the issue is I've never used anything other than a 2011 Razer Black Widow with Cherry Blues and crappy laptop keyboards. The K-Type apparently has some special "light piping" casings for the switches that shine the LEDs better, but I really don't care much about that as I feel like it'd be pretty easy to reuse the same cases if really thought it was necessary. I've attached a photo that somewhat shows what I mean. What kind of switches are out there that I would be able to switch to that would be similar to the blues with the tactility? Thanks for any and all advice y'all.

Any of the clicky Kailh boxes is a very good starter if you really clicky blues, try Box Navy and Box Jades in particular.

Thanks for the suggestion! How noisy are they in comparison? I guess I didn't really mention anything about sound in the original post, but I was looking for something quieter just for my own sanity. Definitely not the biggest deal since I live alone, just wanted some quieter typing!

Quiet and clicky switches dont mix. The Box Jade is SIGNIFICANTLY louder than average MX blue while Box Navies are more or less equivalent.

Sorry for the delayed reply but I didn't feel like starting a new thread, but do you have any recommendations for brown switches, or an equivalent? Or should I just avoid those altogether and go full linear? I do like the Glorious Pandas but they're a tad expensive for what you get from what I've heard.

Id say Tactile market is more condusive than clickies, but yeah theyre pale compared to linear because of how easy it is to tool a linear stem. My recommendation is pretty simple on it and thats Gazzew Boba U4T on the top end, Ajazz Diced Fruits lineup (i personally use their Kiwi switches) on low-mid, and Kailh Box Brown for everyone less fortunate.

Dont get one from Glorious, try to find the old batch by Drop. Glorious bought the mold and did basically NOTHING to maintain or preserve it, and now they have insane amount of leaf scratches bordering on MX Brown level. But of course everyone knows so a lot of people wont relinquish their own Pandas, whether thats from Invyr (either original or the frankenswitch version) or Drop, so cost is of course spiralling up.

I had seen the U4Ts mentioned a few other places too, but they seem to be hard to find, I'll keep looking for them! I'll check out the Ajazz ones as well. I appreciate all the help!!
