Gsync and frame limiter not working

Hey all 👋 . Didn’t have the luxury of this problem before but I got a 3080 some while back, and on some games (like ghost runner I’m playing now) it will go over my monitors max refresh rate in cut scenes and some instances in games causing tearing not to bad but still. I have established a Gsync is running by the indicator, and I’ve tried capping the fps in control panel but neither seem to be working. Was hoping one of you had an explanation. I have a 4K 144hz Gsync compatible monitor and a 144 hz 2k Gsync monitor. Thanks for any help!
