Hello there,

i have been planning my build for a long time now, I just need finishing touches. I‘m not sure to go AMD or Intel. I made two pc‘s. I would tend to go with Intel because it’s cheaper. I don’t know performance wise which is actually better to pick. The price isn’t a too big problem for me, but the cheaper the better. I really would want to have Bluetooth. Is PCIe 5.0 really worth it? Futurproof? Corsair or G.Skill? Maybe also a case…
I‘m live in Germany. I stream on twitch and play various games like Valorant, Apex, CSGO, Fortnite, JWE(2), Stumbleguys, NFS, ARK and much more…

Thank you!

PCIe 5.0 isn't worth it, as nothing you have uses it, and nothing we've seen can take advantage of it.  Even if a GPU comes out that is 5.0, it won't be bottlenecked by 4.0 at all still.

Corsair and G. Skill RAM are the same, only 3 companies or so make RAM, the rest rebrand it.  I prefer G. Skill personally for RAM.

Can't go wrong with either build. The 7800X3D is faster, so if you look at it as a 4% uplift in total spend (including GPU), it's a no brainer.  If you look at it as a 20% uplift for the chip itself, your call.

Look at total system cost and what it does vs another full system.

@CazmoriorI think the AMD build is going to give superior performance here.

If all you do is game you can go for a far cheaper SSD like a Kingston NV2. The 970 Evo Plus is expensive cause it has Dram cache which helps with large writes. But normal use and gaming dosn't have many large writes in it. Therefore you won't notice a difference between an NV2 and a 970 Evo Plus if all you do is gaming.

I might be experienced, but I'm human and I do make mistakes. Trust but Verify! I edit my messages after sending them alot, please refresh before posting your reply. Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

I really would want to have Bluetooth.

USB Bluetooth dongles exist, no need to buy a mainboard just because of that.

I'd personally go with the AMD build, it should offer better performance at a lower power draw, so you should make back those 80€ within a year or three, depending on your use. It'll produce less heat as well, so your room should stay cooler for longer.
I would also check Geizhals.de for prices, I don't know how PCPartPicker gets theirs but you might be able to save some money there.

I will find your Laptop thread and I will recommend an ITX build instead

7900 over 7800x3d because it makes no sense that the 7800x3d is quite abit more expensive than a 7900, mostly a bunch of cost optimizations on uneccesary spending (aio, overpriced ssd) and also just swapping some parts for better ones (mobo, rams now futureproof)

If you arent fixed on nvidia id consider ditching that 4070ti for a 7900xt cause the 7900xt has alot more vram
