I wanted some good ol fashion nostalgia, so im trying to boot up cod 4 2007, it launches fine but launches in like 640 by 440, i go to set it to 2560x1440 and the game just freezes and i cant click anything on my main display. I thought ok maybe this game wasnt meant to run at this res? i reset and try 1080p same thing. i eventually just tried raising it 1 above the 640 and same thing. im not sure what im supposed to do iv tried reinstalling, messing with steam launch options. nothing i have tried works. is there anything i can do to get the game to run at a higher resolution and not just kind of freeze or stop responding? i remember playing this game on my first PC back in like 2010 at 1600x900 just fine. even just changing the sound volume and hitting apply causes it to do the same thing! im so confused. any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
