CPU upgrade instead of GPU?

Go to solution Solved by Ottoman420,

I would go 5800x3d even though the 3d v cach hasnt shown improvments in csgo but you still get the generational ipc uplift and the extra 2 cores 4 threads so you will see improvment in csgo compared to 3600x.

Then worry about gpu down the road

Hello guys,

Should I upgrade my r5 3600x to a 5800x3d/5900x instead of my GPU? My board is ok for that right?

Will be playing low res / low graphic settings and cpu demanding games like csgo.
