Hdmi splitter question

Go to solution Solved by matt0725,

that should work fine, sometimes TV's have an auto-tune feature where if they detect a signal they change input, but its usually a setting if i remember, and should only happen when you turn on your PS5, not repeatedly.

If I were to connect my ps5 to an hdmi splitter and from that connect the splitter to my tv and my monitor, would I be able to play my ps5 on my monitor while my wife watches tv. Mind you it is a smart tv with all the apps on it so she wouldn’t be watching say Netflix from the ps5 but from the tv app itself. Or would I need something else to do this?

@matt0725 thank you for your insight! Much appreciated. Didn’t wanna go get a splitter and find out it wasn’t gonna work for me.
