Noctua CPU Coolers

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

For not oc'ing, it seems like a waste of money getting such an expensive cooler.

It seems you haven't built the system yet. If that's the case, I'd suggest sticking with the stock cooler and seeing how that fares before going aftermarket. If it's still too loud, I'd suggest a 212 Evo.

Hi peoples :D,

Okay, so after lots of thought and "NNOOO! Not gonna get a Noctua CPU cooler because they're flammin' ugly" I finally decided that in fact, yes, I might go with a Noctua CPU cooler after all. I think, given that I'm going for a black & white themed build, the colours of the Noctua fans might actually go pretty well.

So, now my question is, which one? I don't plan to ever overclock (after all I'll be using a Xeon CPU) and so I'm wondering which one I should go for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To help you out, these are the Noctua CPU coolers that are available at PC Case Gear of whom I'm gonna buy all my PC hardware components from: http://search.pccasegear.com/search#w=Noctua%20CPU%20cooler

Thanks in advance for all your help guys. :D

I'd go for the U12S or the U14S if you don't plan on overclocking. Proabbly the U14S because it's bigger and that looks better. (can't believe i said that about a noctua product)

Edit: those prices aren't real, are they? Oh wait australia, yes they are.

who cares...
