RAM Frequency Problem 2133 -> 3600 Solved

Go to solution Solved by BLACKRIPPER,

Solved, I put DIMM4 in DIMM2 because HYNIX is on A1/A2 and Samsung is on B1/B2 DIMM3 and 4. Now xmp works just fine, without adjusting. Thanks for your assist @SorryClaire.

Hey guys, recently i´ve noticed my RAM(2 kits of F4-3600C18D-32GVK) is running only on 2133mhz instead of 3600mhz. My cpu is a 5900x and MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI. If I enable XMP nothing happens, after reboot it still says it in bios. Manual set ram speed to 3600mhz result in error (Memory Overclock failed, Press xyz). Can u guys give me a hint, thanks

GPU: Powercolor 7900XTX Hellhound, CPU: 5900X, MB: MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI, RAM: 2kits F4-3600C18D-32GVK, PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-1000, Case: BeQuiet 601 Silenced, CPU Cooler: BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro3 + AM4 Plate, NIC: Asus XG-C100F 10G, Soundcard: Creative Sound Blaster Z, 1TB Kingston NVME, Some old SSDs, HDD: 32TB@7200, Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 Ohm, WQHD 144hz IPS Display

try reseating yoru cpu, some of your pins might not have contacted the sockets points for the IMC (inntegrated memory controller) of the cpu. After that it should work. Or just manually set the ram to 3600

OP have said it.

Try bumping the voltage +0.05-0.1V above the XMP specification, and see if it boots stable. If it isnt working then id say to go down to 3200, and then tighten the timing to C16 or even lower. Youll observe similar performance but more stable on AMD platform as they favor more on latency than speed.

BTW, set it to 1,350V and 3200mhz didnt work

1.35 is nearly dead stock JEDEC spec, i was expecting 1.45 to 1.5V. But yeah, thats a fat bloody oof if its still bad even with that.
