First question. Why do you want to do this?  If you have absolutely no idea how to do this I would strongly suggest you watch some videos on youtube and do a lot of reading. Its not a simple process for a beginner.

You would have to find a waterblock that fits your exact model of 3070, most waterblocks from reputable brands ( Not wish.com )  do come with thermal pads for that specific gpu and product that you must manually cut into shape. If you are unsure after finding a waterblock you can always contact the company and ask.  Other than that you slap on some good thermal paste and connect it to your loop 🙂

You'll need some specific thickness thermal pads to go between the VRAM modules, VRMs, and your GPU waterblock. Beyond that, you just need your normal thermal compound for your GPU die.

I used EK twice now. 3070 Ti FTW3 now waiting on my 4080 strix water block. EK included thermal pads which are the ones you use. I'm not sure if other brands includes them but I would assume so.

How do you think people learn to do it? I didn't know what I was about when I got my first blocks either.

^^^ worth noting that the block may include the pads you need. My cheap Corsair block did, I can't remember if my EK and Heatkiller GPU blocks in the past did, but I assume so. If they don't, the manufacturer should say what pads you'll need, as they likely won't be the same thickness pads as the stock cooler.

If its a competent company, their instructions state what pads to use. Its pretty simple. Or buy a new block that comes with everything you need, which is even easier.

When you buy the waterblock new all the stuff needed to mount it is in the box with it.You need the rest of the loop aka rad tubing, pump res fittings etc etc.
