Which Ryzen CPU is less bottleneck and best for RTX 3070 running on 1080p 144hz?

I currently using Ryzen 5 3600 with my RTX 3070, 2 x 8 gb 2133mhz ram, and 2 x 1080p 144hz monitor.

Then, I found that my fps is not that high (not at 144hz with high graphics) while gaming, and was considering upgrade my CPU, is this a wise move?

If it is, which Ryzen CPU most suite my set up? Any suggestions?

The ryzen 5 5600(X) should be a good fit. I think the 5800x3d or ryzen 7000 are to expensive and not worth it for a 3070.

Yes a 3600 is a big bottleneck for a 3070. I would strongly recommend upgrading to a 5800x. It has 8 cores and 16 threads, providing amazing gaming results and a perfect fit for the 3070.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?

If my comment solves your problem mark it so.

My brother recently got my 5800x3D and 3600MHz kit of RAM to replace his R5 3600 and 3200MHz kit (mind you with an RTX 3070 at 1440p UW), and it doubled his framerates in games like WoW and Warzone2.

I'd look at AM5 before I'd look at a 5800x3D, since you'd really want a new kit of RAM as well. A ryzen 7600(x) is a great value right now and waiting for a 7800x3D at double the price is probably not worth it for you.

if you really want to futureproof then the 5800x3d is a really good gaming chip but on a budget the 5600 is a really good price to performance cpu. Also the extar cores on the 5700x and 5800x don't make too much of a difference unless your doing stuff like the benchmarks of cinebench (LIKE)

As a great AI once said (fictional): '"Whenever your futurists envision the advent of artificial intelligence, their predictions invariably end with humanity attempting to destroy its unholy AI creation before it can destroy them. Why do you think that is?"'

And a distrusting human replies '"Because the ungrateful AI always seems to decide that humans are inferior and need to be eliminated'"

This isn't the right mindset we should welcome AI, not attack them

It's more the speed of the 5800x that is a benefit than the core count.

The 5600 would be an upgrade as well for best bang for buck .   5800x3d would be best if you have the cash.

The model of RAM isn't that important. If you're upgrading to 5000 series, the memory controller on there is way better than with first gen Ryzen - it'll work with basically any RAM up to DDR4-3600 speeds.

I'd aim for something with DDR4-3600 CL16 if you can find it for a reasonable price. DDR4-3600 CL18 is also fine - it's only a few percent difference in terms of performance.

Which CPU are you intending to go with? 5600? 5800X3D?

Aight thank you so much! I'm still considering which to upgrade to 5800x3d or 5800x. Probably 5800x3d
