I just built this PC, and I want more storage.

JonnyPotta

This is the first system I've built while trying to practice the art of not "Throwing Money at it". I'm not sure how well I did so please give feed back. Now that I've got the PC, I'd like more storage. I'm having trouble finding an obvious mid range storage option with a nice capacity and speed split.

First forum post! Thank you for your time!

you could've gotten a better cpu for your money and spent less on ram and cpu cooler as well as ssd, upgrade path in the pcpp list (if you have the money ofc) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wXgNrV

if you want a better gpu then check out the 1080 ti in the ss below with the performance of a 3060 but not the price

I'd like a few TBs, but I want an SSD.  I probably should've asked this before buying the 970 Evo. I just want to know what would be appropriate, Given the cost of the system.

Get a Team Group MP34. The 1TB is $50, the 2TB is $103. The 4TB is expensive rn, around $350 last I checked, but it gets as low as $250. Friend has one, I just have the 1TB model. They're solid PCIe 3.0 NVMe drives with high TBW limit so they should be very reliable. Haven't seen another drive that beats them for price vs what you get.
