pc build PC Build questions

So, I am helping my buddy build a PC (I built mine at the end of last year), he doesn't really know anything about PC's. He plans on gaming at 1080p so I know to go for a decnt I5 and roughly 3060ti in terms of gpu power. My main question though he that he is an accountant and plans on also using the PC for work from home. Is there anything extra with that, that I should upgrade from just a standard build?

No. the 12600K or a 13400 will work fine for his needs when paired with a 3060 ti.

Ok thank you, would you reccomend maybe upgrading from 16gb ram to 32gb ram due to the size of xcel spreadsheets and multiple monitors for when he is working?

You could, yes, but at the same time I wouldn't say you have to. My dad's work laptop has 16gb of ram and he runs many excel sheets just fine, while being hooked up to 2 external monitors (3 screens total.)

I mean not really, Unless he is running 100s of spreadsheets at the same time. How many displays are you going to be using?
