I think cv450 is cheapest branded PSU around or is it still avoid at all cost?

If you can, I would push for a CX550M. It might be a little more expensive, but it's also less likely to die.

It's likely improved, but the CX line has been among the best budget PSUs for years.

The XPG Pylon should cost about the same as the CV450, but it's more comparable to the CXM
