Vapochill LS 240 - single stage cascade

So apparently this guy from France is willing to sell his LS 240 unit and I was wondering: has anyone ever tried to cool a laptop with a single stage? Is anyone crazy enough to try?

I originally found this in german HardwareLuxx forums link

I haven't tried, but I am willing to try and 3d print a new mount for AM4, just to see if my 5800X3D likes it or not...

What material are you gonna use? That thing gets down to -25C and it's possible it could get up to 65C depending on what it's doing.

Back in 2006 my LS did get down to -50°C on idle and around -20°C with an Opteron 170@3.5GHz with prime95 load under it.

Since the evaporator itself is surrounded by styrofoam, material isnt that much of a problem. But I was thinking of abs plastic...
