Should I reinstall windows?

So I had to replace my motherboard because the Asus one I had died. I am now running a MSI board. There are now errors whenever I start up my computer.

I was thinking about just wiping my c drive and reinstalling windows on it. However I have a raid one that was created using amd raid expert. Will reinstalling windows break the raid?

Also should I upgrade to windows 11 and then wipe the drive and install windows 11 from scratch?

No, reinstalling windows should not break the raid unless there is some huge bug somewhere in AMD software. Keep in mind raid 1 only protect against failure/destruction of a hard drive and not other things like software bugs, hacks or user mistakes and thus it's important to have external backups of your data.

 

I don't see any reason why you would first upgrade to windows 11 if you plan to wipe the drive and reinstall windows anyway.

But what are those errors you encounter at boot ? There is maybe a way to fix them without reinstalling your system.
