Help with new PC build.

HOT_SOSER

Budget (including currency):

My budget is around 1000 US dollars. I can go a bit over that.

The currency in my country is Leva.

Country: The country I live in is Bulgaria. Here the prices are not that much higher than in the US.

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I will use the PC for some light programming, discord ang gaming. The games I would like to play are: Sons of the Forest, Gta, Euro truck simulator 2, Minecraft and CSgo.

Other details: I don't have any old parts to reuse. The monitor I will use is 1080p, 75 hertz(just one).

I thought of getting a Ryzen 5 7600x (because I would like to have some upgrade in the future) and a rx 6600.

I was also thinking of an I5 13400f and a rx 6600.

It's hard to get Ryzen 7000 series for that kind of money right now, thanks to the high price of DDR5 and AM5 motherboards.

The list I put together is a little over budget in the US (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Qqs2PX).

You could save money on the RAM by getting a 2x8GB set, but apparently this will heavily impact the performance of the RAM on AM5. Another way to save cash might be to get a 7600 instead of the 7600X. It's most of the performance at a lower power consumption and cost.

part of me wants to suggest an AM4 build. You might sacrifice upgradability and CPU performance, but you'll get a better GPU or you'll save alot of money (maybe 180 dollars/euros) and I don't think the CPU will impact performance much at 1080p and 75hz.

I might be experienced, but I'm human and I do make mistakes. Expand for common PC building advice, a short bio and a list of my components and other tech. I edit my messages after sending them alot, please refresh before posting your reply. Common build advice: 1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticably improve performance past 240mm.

why not consider the nonX ryzen to fit the budget and maybe get better ssd?

(also nonX comes with stock cooler)

yeah, you'll save 40$ doing this, performance hit will be minimal like I said.

However, when you say "spending the money on better storage?" Do you mean more storage or faster storage?

I'm not really sure faster storage is worth it at this budget and price point. NV2 isn't that much slower than other gen 4 drives, also the build would probably still be overbudget even after going 7600 and stock cooler, so going higher tier on the SSD just puts it further over budget.

I could kinda get behind adding more storage but I always see that as a thing to sort later.

more about the quality, but NV2 isn't bad tho

depends, lower resolution puts more impact on CPU overall, however OP has great options for his budget, not to mention lot of his games are quite old except maybe one

1gb (No idea how this works) = Minecraft

You need to account for world size, as theyre quite big given time. including mods to run it, my old server experience totals to like 6GB in size.

Also OP, id love to see some bulgarian computer store recommendation. Theyre not part of the schengen so i cant just use German PCPP as a reference price.
