Im planning to get an asus tuf 3060 ti, but ive cheaped out on the mobo and got only one pcie 3 slot for m2. I didnt check te dimensions of my m2 radiator (Be quiet mc1 pro) and my gpu will go over it. The question is, wont the gpu be obstructed and wont fit in because of the height of the radiator? Can i do something about it? Should i get a different gpu? Can i use the pcie 1 slot? Or should i buy a smaller radiator.

And... how are we supposed to really know it without knowing what motherboard ?

Anywho... , just take off your SSD heatsink if it's gonna be in the way. Not like your SSD will explode just because there's no heatsink on it.

Wont it be prone to overheating because of the gpu? My motherboard is gigabyte h510m h

ok i was confused as you used the word radiator when you meant heat sink

your m2 drive doesn't need a heat sink so remove it and install the gpu

Im sorry its a foreign language and I forgot the word. Wont it overheat because of the gpu though?

It depends. If it is NVMe Gen 4, it may overheat and thermal throttle. If it is Gen 3, the temps will be fine without the heatsink.

If it is Gen 4, I recommend to keep the heatsink and actually install the GPU and check the clearance with a cloth/piece of paper, or anything to check whether there is a remaining space between the GPU and the heatsink. In the worst case, you may need to remove the heatsink.

Yes, Gen 3 should run with normal temps without a heatsink (and without thermal throttling). Just apply on it the heat spreader which usually comes with the disk (if it is not already applied on it): that thin layer with a logo on it.

It's fine.
Even Gen4 should be ok if it's just casual use.

My laptop is using Gen 4, it's passive cooling is only a thin sheet of metal which doesn't resemble heatsink at all, more like just a cover to make it look more pleasing aesthetically.

And I'm sure most of the air from the intake fans never gets close to it.

If you hate the thought of not using the heatsink that much, then consider vertically mounting your GPU for more SSD heatsink clearance.
