Horizon Zero Dawn - CPU FPS vs GPU FPS?

I don't think I've seen this before, I just ran the benchmark for Horizon Zero Dawn and it reported a "CPU FPS" number along a "GPU FPS" number. They're very similar, but not the same. Is it trying to tell me which component is the bottleneck (typically I find CPU limits me more than GPU in games or they are balanced). Also I love that a game that looks this good can run at max settings on my 6-year-old build that wasn't even top-tier at the time. Only running 1080p60 monitors so it does what I need.

Yeah, its showing if something is bottlenecking hard.  There are quite a few games that does this, Tomb Raider, Forza Horizon and Far Cry New Dawn comes to mind. Its really great when developers add stuff like this.

So is it saying that my CPU is limiting me to 63 FPS and I could be at 65 FPS with the GPU and a better CPU?

There is definitely room for error at a 1-2 fps difference in that a backround task could be taking up some CPU performance right there so it lost some score. But I would imagine so yes.  I'd say the 6700k and 1070 is a good match Makes me want to download the game on my new rig and give that benchmark a go haha.

SOTTR is like that for me 99% on both iirc.  ie this is kinda normal or just shows its a well balanced game [on insert system] i guess - nothing to see here
