If you don't need rgb and you want better timings the ripjaws V seem like a much better buy

Go with those then. Are all kits listed in the QVL?

All scam 3600c16 bins that do nothing for performance because primaries dont do shit for performance if the fact that 3600c18 is faster than 3200c16 isnt obvious enough

If you want ram performance then tune the rams yourself, there is absolutely no way of getting around ram tuning no matter how much you spend as high bins (>4000) have garbage subtimings and even b die bins (3200c14, 3600c16 non scam 16-16-16) have bleh stock timings

Also thats a 5800x3d and those do not give a shit about ram speeds past 3200 so i can only reccomend buying 3200c16 or  3600c18 if you prefer running at stock xmp

If you want fast rams buy 4x8 crucial ballistix 3200c16 or klevv 3200c16/3600c18 (latter is preffered), run em at 3800-4000 or whatever your fclk maxes out at, max out trefi (65536 or greater), then proceed to tighten trfc, trc, trrd-l/s, and tfaw, then you can go tighten the primaries (though dont go ham on cl or twcl cause those gobble volt for not much performance gain), you wont need more than 1.5v and since this is a rather mild oc frequency wise itll be quite trivial to stabilise and shouldnt take more than a few hours

I'm not sure it's a worthwhile upgrade, 3D chips don't care much about RAM speed, and 32GB isn't really useful for gaming neither.. And it's DDR4 so EoL, won't work if you upgrade

Did you try OCing your RAM a bit to say 2833 or even 3000 ?

The qvl for my motherboard hasnt been updated since OCT 2021

The ripjaws are in there but the 2x8 model not the 2x16. Same with the Trident z i can find the 4x16 model and not the 2x16.

The Kingston are not in it but if i search the product number of the hyperx that are listed i find the kingston.

Yes i tried OCing, and it blue screens at anything above 2666.

I dont plan to upgrade anytime soon to a ddr5 platofrm anyway.

dont blindly overclock your rams, check thaiphoon burner and send a screenshot here to verify ram ic, then its just a search away to find oc results and you simply copy paste someone elses settings though minor adjustments may be required. Even if you get garbage hynix mfr thatll still do atleast 3200

worked pretty well for me considering i went from being walled at 1150 6-6-6-18 on my xtreem dark to running at 1520 7-9-6-9 just by copying the hwbot wr for my kit cause ddr2 info is scarce, did something similar looking at ddr3 ic thread for my cheap 1333 samsung 1gbit rev f and got it to 2200 9-11-11 with relative ease but couldnt push further cause rubbish xeon imc on x58

I agree, it is useful in some games. I had issues in BeamNG and heavily modded Minecraft, especially when I had my browser open at the same time.

I know it's not relevant to this thread any more, but I recommend checking Geizhals.de if you buy hardware in Germany.
