Hi guys, this is my first post in the forum it is the only place where I think I will get an answer to my issue.

Two weeks ago I bought a new GPU (4090 Suprim X) and since then I've had an issue happen to me 3 times.

While I am using my PC (Gaming or not), my monitor goes black for 5 seconds (no signal message appears) and then the display turns on again like it never happened. The games don't crash (when the issue happens) and I am not seeing any errors in the Windows Event Viewer.

I have installed the latest drivers. The GPU has the latest firmware also.  I am using a display port cable (the one that came with the monitor) to connect to my monitor (Acer predator 27 inch 1440p 270hz) and with my old GPU (2060) I've never had this issue. Adaptive sync is off.

The PSU is a brand new platinum corsair 1000W.

Any ideas what might be causing this? Should I return the card?

I'm actually wondering if either there is a new driver bug or something in the latest Windows Update, as I've had my 4090 lose connection to the TV twice in the last week, its never happened before.

Even scarier is today when it happened my TV turned itself off and only a reboot of the PC brought the picture back.

I also heard the windows unplug sound when it happened.

That indicates some kind of power loss to the USB devices (or something that can be unplugged, drives and possibly of course the GPU) which traditionally would say you are not getting enough power to your computer, but if the PSU is new, that's an unlikely issue.

Interesting Event Viewer shows nothing.

Would I have seen in the Event Viewer an error of some sort if the GPU/Driver stopped working?

Yes, it would have a red X or ! mark next to the event (which, with nVidia would be something like "nVidia driver stopped working and was recovered")
