Hey guys I want to overclock my GPU, CPU and RAM and I am very noob when it comes to tech. I want to push my PC to the limit( with a bit of safety) since I play on my 4K OLED TV (C1). I would really make use of you guys to help me out with steps on how to OC everything from the begining.

Motherboard: Asus rog strix x570-f

GPU: Asus tuf gaming 3080 Ti

CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X

RAM: G.SKILL TridentZ cl18 3600Mhz

For the CPU you want to enable PBO and call it a day, anything else will end up with worse overall performance. For the RAM if you're a noob, enable XMP and call it a day. RAM overclocking is the hardest form of overclocking because of how long stability tests take and how many settings there are, it's not recommended for beginners in the slightest.

GPU overclocking isn't that difficult. You download msi afterburner, crank the power slider to the max, adjust the fan curve to as aggressive as you can stand, then start raising the core clock in 25MHz increments until you have instability in a stress test (run something looped like Superposition or Time Spy whole adjusting core clock). Go until it's unstable/artifacting and lower it down to the lady stable value. Do the same with the memory clock but go in 100MHz increments and stop when you see performance regressions. Undervolting is also a thing, though this method imo is easier so it's what I'd start with.

In the older AGESAs playing with PBO brought some fairly good gains, much better than stock. The downside is with certain tasks it can get warm.

These are the settings I use on my 5900X with AGESA 1208.

240/160/190 all core -25 boost override at +50

That's really helpful thanks a lot, I have never heard about PBO before I will give it a look. the GPU overclocking method you mentioned is clever and I will try it.

I will definetly download it and see how far I can go, your preset will help a lot much appreciate it.

I like AGESA 1203 for max boost, I can get the full 5150 on multiple cores, but things can get quite intense heat wise on all core stuff.

If you don't mind asking AGESA 1203 is a motherboard right?

No, the AGESA is the firmware blob that AMD provides to the board vendors containing most of the memory training algorithms and boost algorithms. Different AGESA versions can have different performance because of PBO optimizations.
