AM4 boards have backplate installed by default, I just need to put on the cooler and screw the hand bits to hold it on. So I guess it should be an easy proccess.

This is the guide on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AK7qj3_b_UM

DAMN, your signature is true, ill just put the case over two tables revealing the back easily.

Oo yea, you can do it without taking off motherboard off the tray.

Hahah, overengineered solution 🤣

Hello,

I bought Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO and I'm going to install it on Ryzen 5 5600X, my question is, can I install it without removing the motherboard from the case, I see no issues with it since its such a straight forward thing to do in my head especially with AM4 motherboard, I have NZXT H510 with opening on the back of the motherboard revealing backplate, I plan on holding it while I screw in standoffs.

Should that be just fine to do it?

If your motherboard tray opening allows you to put the backplate , yeah.

Use a painter's tape to hold down the backplate, that way you can rest the case on it's side for easier life.

I heard the proccess with LGA 1700 is quite the opposite, its a nightmare apparently

Eh well, from what I've seen on their manual, the difference with AM4 just that it requires the included LGA1700 backplate.
How hard could it possibly be ?

Idk, its apparently only with those Arctic ones since the new mounting kit is not that good, as far as I saw.
